Accessing Your Email via Webmail

SiteForge mailboxes can usually be opened in two ways:

Use your own mailbox host for everyday access once DNS and SSL are fully active.
If the mailbox host is not ready yet, DNS has just changed, or you are troubleshooting SSL/certificate issues, use the central webmail instead.

Webmail Client

Steps

  1. Open the webmail login page.
  2. Enter your full email address and password.
  3. If your account uses an extra security step, complete the verification shown on screen.
  4. Once signed in, you can read, send, and manage email directly from your browser.

Tips

  • Bookmark the webmail page for quick access.
  • Webmail works on any device with an internet connection.
  • If two-factor authentication is available for your mailbox, enable it for additional protection.
  • Your username is always the full email address.

Open Webmail from the Hosting Panel (SSO)

If one-click mailbox access is enabled for your mailbox, you can open webmail directly from the hosting panel without typing the mailbox password again.

  1. Sign in to panel.siteforge.ie.
  2. Open Email Accounts.
  3. Find the mailbox you want to open.
  4. Click the blue mailbox/login icon on the same row.
  5. The panel will open that mailbox directly in webmail.

If the icon is not available for a mailbox, use the standard webmail login with your full email address and password.

Configuring a Mail Client

You can also use desktop or mobile mail apps such as Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird.

  • Recommended settings are listed in Configure Mail Client.
  • Additional mailbox-specific details may also be visible in your hosting panel and welcome email.
  • After changing a password, update it on all devices using that mailbox.

Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

If two-factor authentication is available for your mailbox, enable it to add a second sign-in step beyond the password.

Mailbox 2FA is separate from 2FA used for:

  • your SiteForge Account,
  • your hosting panel login,
  • your cloud workspace login.

Typical steps

  1. Sign in to webmail using either mail.yourdomain.tld or webmail.siteforge.ie.
  2. Open Settings or Security.
  3. Enable Two-Factor Authentication if the option is available.
  4. Scan the QR code with your preferred authenticator app.
  5. Enter the verification code and save the configuration.

Once enabled, you will need a verification code when signing in from a new session or device.
